Winter Worthy Skin

The combination of dry air and holiday stress can prove to be a nightmare for your skin. By taking a few precautionary steps, it is possible to avoid the dry, cracked skin all together!

Dr. Joseph Rucker, founder of Enza Essentials shares his tips for winter skin-care.

1. You Can’t Take the Heat–

When rinsing your cleanser, avoid water that is too hot. Your skin is very sensitive and not being careful with temperature could cause irritation and broken capillaries. Be sure to watch your blow-dryer as well: this extended use of heat can have the same effect as hot water.

2. Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate–

Dead skin and bacteria left on your skin can irritate acne and increase scarring. By exfoliating with a gentle, preferably oatmeal-based scrub, you will unplug the oily pores even in the coldest of months.

3. Drench & Hydrate–

With dehydrated and cracked skin, be sure to add moisture with deep-hydrating creams and facials. Also, don’t forget to stay hydrated yourself! Be sure to continually drink 8 glasses of water per day to obtain a radiant complexion.
